Uncle Bok’s Camp is one of the camping sites here in Murcia, Negros Occidental. A campsite with an elevation of 2,700 ft above sea level. Located at Prk. Magtahos Brgy. Minoyan, Bacolod, 6129 Negros Occidental.
How to get there:
- Ride a Mambukal-Bacolod bus at Libertad Market, Bacolod City
- Drop off: Bangga Simaguan(Historical landmark in Murcia, Negros Occidental).
- Ride a habal habal from Bangga Simaguan going to the drilling site.
- From the drilling site there will be a 15 mins hike going to Uncle Bok’s Camp.

Planning on Camping
So me and my sister’s friends decided to go camping in the rainy season before ending our school vacation. We traveled using a private car and used the Alangilan-Granada route going to Murcia. When we reached Brgy. Minoyan, we’ve started hiking with our own bags.
Here are some Important Things to carry for camping:
Sleeping Bag, Tent Pillow, Can opener, Camp chairs, First aid kit, Utensils, Antiseptic Wipes, Bin Bags, Insect repellent, Toothbrush and toothpaste, Camping Stove Cooler, Fuel, Lantern Toilet Paper, Toiletries, Water bottles, Blankets, Bowls, Camping Table, Sleeping pad or cot, Tent Carpet, Sunscreen.

Things we did when we reached Uncle Bok’s Camp:
When we reached Uncle Bok’s Camp we rested for a while then ate our food. After that, we went to the falls of uncle bok’s.
The road is so muddy and sticky, the thrill is very enjoyable because some of our friends tripped on the Mud, lol. But the adventure was so memorable and we arrived at the falls of Uncle Bok’s Camp. The place was so beautiful that we took a lot of pictures.
When we’re done taking pictures and swimming at the falls, we went back to the Campsite of Uncle Bok’s, then we observed the beauty of the sunset and the city Lights.
We ate our dinner and we felt the cold air while eating our dinner. After that some of our friends decided to drink some beer, perfect for the cold breeze.
While they are drinking their beer, me and my ate(sister) are eating their pulatan(snacks) and we observe the surroundings around us is very pleasing, and then we realize that all of us are sleepy and we dozed off.
Early in the morning, we didn’t realize that our things were in a mess and soaked while we are sleeping, therefore I advise not to go camping in the rainy season, lol! But, our experience at Uncle Bok’s Camp is awesome!
